Fascial Stretch (TM)
Fascial stretch therapy [FST] is the art of manual therapy and movement merged with science. It is a traction and stretch based therapy focused on targeting problem areas, increasing range and augmenting stability. It is a pain free treatment designed to help you move and feel your best. FST is a wonderful tool to help increase range of motion within an area that is tight or stuck. This could be due to an old injury (build up of scar tissue), lack of strength, or pain. This technique promotes a deep stretch using straps as anchor points.
Professional athletes, hardcore to recreational runners, athletes of all stripes and weekend warriors, everyone from children to the elderly can benefit from FST and the impact it has on the body.
FST is traditionally performed fully clothed in athletic attire to facilitate movement and stretching in various positions on the table.
It is not recommended for anyone who may be pregnant or could be contraindicated if you have any surgical implants. If you need clarification please consult with the therapist directly and we can determine if this modality is right for you at this time.
